Csillaghegy

Csillaghegy Arpad Baths is a historic thermal bathing complex in Budapest's District III, established in 1919 and drawing on natural mineral springs known since Roman times when the ancient settlement of Aquincum first channelled these healing waters. A major renovation completed in 2018 transformed the complex into one of Budapest's largest indoor thermal destinations, featuring 11 indoor pools, six panoramic saunas, water slides, and a spectacular rooftop thermal pool with citywide views. The mineral-rich calcium and magnesium waters emerge at a natural temperature of 23 degrees Celsius and are warmed to between 26 and 40 degrees across the pools. Treatment facilities include medical massage rooms, a carbonated acid bath for cardiovascular wellness, and privately bookable thermal cabins for couples. The outdoor strand, open seasonally within a magnificent century-old park of more than 90,000 square metres, perfectly complements the contemporary indoor wellness centre, making Csillaghegy a beloved retreat for locals and visitors alike.
