Palatinus Baths

Palatinus Baths is a beloved open-air thermal and wellness complex nestled on Margaret Island in the heart of Budapest, Hungary. First opened in 1919, the venue spans 75,000 square metres and features 11 pools in total, including the iconic 1937 wave pool decorated with surrealist mosaics, outdoor thermal pools maintained between 30 and 36 degrees Celsius, and a modern indoor wellness area inaugurated in 2017. The indoor section houses a thermal leisure pool with whirlpool jets, a children's pool, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, geothermal sauna, and cold plunge pools. During summer the full outdoor complex comes alive with waterslides, leisure pools, and vast green lawns ideal for relaxation. Massage services are also available. Surrounded by a hundred hectares of parkland with century-old trees, Palatinus offers an idyllic escape where therapeutic geothermal waters, playful water attractions, and serene island scenery combine for a truly memorable bathing experience.
