Stadtbad Oderberger

Stadtbad Oderberger is a beautifully restored historic bathhouse in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg neighbourhood, originally opened in 1902 and designed by architect Ludwig Hoffmann in a striking German Renaissance style. After nearly three decades of closure, the listed building was lovingly revived and has welcomed swimmers and wellness seekers since 2017, earning the prestigious Ferdinand-von-Quast Medal for its sensitive restoration. The centrepiece is the original 20-metre indoor pool, faithfully reconstructed and kept at a comfortable 26 degrees Celsius. A compact spa area adjoins the pool, offering a sauna, relaxation loungers, and refreshing showers. Now integrated into the Hotel Oderberger, the bathhouse remains open to outside visitors, making it a rare opportunity to experience authentic historic bathing culture in the heart of modern Berlin.
